Low Back Pain can cost you dearly…

There are several different causes of low back pain.  And this a problem that plagues far too many people.  It causes you to be less productive at work, at home, in your relationships… when you hurt, it affects every area of your life.  The good news is there is hope.

What are your options?  That depends on the problem…not the symptoms.  As a Chiropractor, I do not treat the symptoms, per se.  I treat the cause of the symptoms, which then helps the symptoms.

Here is what we will do first:

1.  Consultation:
A complete health history will be taken, listing any old or recent injuries or chronic health problems, along with any present symptoms which may be factors in your current condition.  During the consultation, we will discuss your problem and determine whether or not to continue with your examination.

2.  Exam: “What is Your NSFi Number?”
We are currently one of the only Chiropractic clinics in the Golden Triangle to use the Insight Millennium Subluxation Station ™ Second Generation.  It uses five different test to give us a Neuro Spinal Function Index (NSFi).  This is a snapshot of how well your nervous system is functioning.  The test checks for autonomic nervous system function, soft tissue damage, heightened muscle activity, range of motion, and heart rate variability.  The results give us more understanding of what might be going on with your spine.

3.  X-Rays:
If needed, X-rays will be taken.  These images can reveal fractures, misalignments, bone diseases and joint degeneration.
Only necessary views are taken.  You are shown these images when the doctor discusses the results of the exam with  you.  This is called your Report of Findings.  X-rays and other forms of imaging provide information for both you and your doctor.

4.  Report of Finding:
After reviewing the results of the exam and x-rays, we will meet with you to go over the findings.  If it does appear that chiropractic treatment can help your situation, we will discuss treatment options with you.  A referral is made to the proper specialist if it is determined that chiropractic cannot help you.  It is our policy to accept only those cases we feel reasonably sure we can help.

To schedule an exam for only $27.00 (normally $179.00), call today, 409-962-3123.  Exam includes everything listed above.

The throbbing and pounding sensation of a splitting headache is an all too accepted condition for millions of people each day.  Some suffer with headaches several times a month, while others even more often.  HEADACHES are not a normal condition.

Are drugs the solution?
Many people resort to medication to temporarily dull the pain.  But there are two major problems with this:
1) The pain returns and

2) The side-effects of drugs can be deadly.

In 1996, 108,000 Americans died in hospitals from adverse reactions to FDA-approved drugs properly administered by licensed medical professionals, as reported by the Journal of the American Medical Association.

Can you imagine everyone in a city the size of Beaumont dying?  Now imagine that happening again every year!

In the same year, 2.2 million Americans had adverse reactions to FDA-approved drugs.    That’s approximately half the population in a city the size of Houston, Texas!

What is another solution?
In the past 22 years, with over 100,000 patient visits, I have treated thousands of people who have suffered with chronic headaches.

Here’s what I know:
The neck is made up of seven bones stacked on top of the other with the head delicately balanced on top.  Your spinal chord runs through your spine with nerve roots going out in-between each bone.
Misalignment of these bones can cause irritation, pressure and/or stress on these nerves.

One of the most common symptoms associated with this pressure is a headache.  How bad the headache hurts and how often is a complex question.

However, it is my clinical experience that this pressure is the root of many people’s chronic headaches.  Nerve pressure from misalignments of the neck must be corrected or the problem will continue to grow more and more severe.  No one deserves that.

Of course, this is not the cause of all head-aches, but I believe it is one of the most common causes of chronic headaches.

The pressure placed on these nerves can be relieved with appropriate spinal adjustments.  Proper manipulation can also mobilize the joints and return them to their proper position.

Maybe the best news of all is you no longer have to be twisted, popped or cracked to have a spinal adjustment!
